EMPHASIS: Lieutenant Michael R. Pulliam Retires

Captain Jeffrey N. Vitale, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, announces effective March 1, 2018, Lieutenant Michael R. Pulliam will retire with over 34 years of dedicated service. Pulliam was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1984, as a member of the 56th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Franklin County. In 1989, he transferred to St. Louis and Jefferson counties. In 1993, Pulliam was promoted to the rank of corporal. In 1995, he transferred to the Gaming Division and was assigned to the President’s Casino in downtown St. Louis. In 1997, he was promoted to rank of sergeant. He transferred to the Harrah’s Casino in west St. Louis County in 1998. On October 1, 1999, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and began serving the citizens of Troop E.

Lieutenant Pulliam is a native of St. Louis, and graduated from Affton High School. He and his wife, Shari, have one son.
