Captain Dale O. Jinkens Announces Promotions
Captain Dale O. Jinkens, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, is pleased to announce the following promotions effective January 1, 2025.
Corporal James “Ricky” Rorie has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated as zone supervisor of Zone 6, serving Dade and Lawrence counties. Ricky was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2008, as a member of the 88th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 12 serving Jefferson County. Ricky was assigned to the Gaming Division from January 1, 2012, until December 21, 2013. Ricky transferred to Troop D, Zone 3 in January of 2014 and was promoted to corporal on September 1, 2020, where he served as the assistant zone supervisor.
Sergeant Rorie is a native of Republic, Missouri. He graduated from Republic High School in 2004.
Trooper Joshua S. Baird has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as assistant zone supervisor of Zone 13, serving Newton and McDonald counties. Josh was appointed to the Patrol on January 2, 2017, as a member of the 104th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 8 serving St. Charles County. In January 2020, he transferred to Troop D, Zone 13.
Corporal Baird is a native of Lamar, Missouri where he graduated from Lamar High School in 2013.
Trooper Jason W. Philpott has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as assistant zone supervisor of Zone 10, serving Webster County. Jason was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2009, as a member of the 90th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement academy, he was assigned to Troop I, Zone 4 serving Pulaski and Maries counties. In September 2012, he transferred to Troop G, Zone 5 serving Douglas and Ozark counties. In June 2021, Jason transferred to Troop D, Zone 10.
Corporal Philpott is a native of Ava, Missouri where he graduated from Ava High School in 2005. In 2009, he earned his undergraduate degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
