EMPHASIS: Springfield Driver Examiner Station Providing Written Tests Only On August 9, 2019

Captain John Enderle, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the Springfield Driver Examination Station will be providing only written tests from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 9, 2019, due to the streets closing to accommodate the Route 66 Festival in the downtown Springfield. The Springfield DE Station will NOT be administering road skills tests, including motorcycle skills tests, that day. Driver license applicants are invited to visit the Nixa DE Station located at Nixa City Hall, 715 W. Mt. Vernon Street, Nixa, MO, or the Republic DE Station located in the Republic Parks and Recreation Building, 711 Miller Road, Republic, MO. Testing hours for Nixa and Republic are 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with motorcycle skills tests given at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. All tests are administered on a first-come, first-served basis. The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every other driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. “Don’t Violate The Trust.” Follow the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D on Twitter @MSHPTrooperD
