EMPHASIS: Rusk Promoted To Division Assistant Director
Captain Scott A. Ballard, commander of the Human Resources Division, announces the following promotion effective February 16, 2026.
Human Resources Manager Christina A. Rusk will be promoted and serve as the Assistant Director of the Human Resources Division.
Ms. Rusk began her employment with the Missouri State Highway Patrol on December 1, 2008, as a Personnel Analyst I and was promoted to Personnel Analyst II in 2009. In 2012 she went on to work as a Victim Advocate serving both the Cole County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the Rape and Abuse Crisis Service. In 2019, Ms. Rusk worked for the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations as a Senior Human Rights Officer. She returned to the Patrol in 2022 as a Human Resources Manager in the Human Resources Division where she will remain.
Ms. Rusk graduated from Jefferson City High School in 2000. She is a 2004 graduate of Lincoln University, Jefferson City, where she earned a bachelor’s in public administration. Ms. Rusk graduated from the Police Leadership: The West Point Model in 2023. In 2024, she graduated from the Missouri Leadership Academy. Ms. Rusk and her family reside in Wardsville, MO.
