Troop A Announces Promotion
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer of Troop A, Lee’s Summit, announces the following promotion effective October 1, 2022.
Corporal Liere R. Dancy was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated as the zone supervisor of Zone 11, which serves Cass County. Dancy was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on December 12, 2010, as a member of the 92nd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, she was assigned to Troop A, Zone 10, Saline County. Dancy was promoted to corporal on June 1, 2018, in Saline County.
Sergeant Dancy was born in Sparta, Illinois. Before joining the Patrol, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Sergeant Dancy is married to LaTreesa (Bradshaw) Dancy.
