EMPHASIS: Charges Filed Following Theft At The St. Jo Frontier Casino

On October 25, 2026, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division (GD) were notified of a theft of over $150,000 from the St. Jo Frontier Casino in St. Joseph, MO. Members of GD immediately began investigating the incident. During the investigation, investigators identified the vehicle the suspects were traveling in.

The suspect vehicle was entered in the FLOCK system and located driving on U.S. 36. Troopers assigned to Troop B and the Macon County Sheriff’s Office were advised the vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 36. The suspect vehicle was stopped by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and the Patrol.

Following further investigation at the scene, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office applied for, and obtained, a warrant to search the vehicle. During the search, more than $150,000 was recovered from the vehicle and secured as evidence. The vehicle’s occupants, Charles E. Blaisdell, 42, St. Joseph, MO, and Heaven L.R. Roberts, 21, St. Joseph, MO, were arrested by the Macon County Sheriff’s Office and placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the application of formal charges.

On October 25, 2026, the Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Blaisdell and Roberts each with one count of Receiving Stolen Property (class D felony). Both are being held on $150,000.00 bond.

This is an ongoing investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division and the Division of Drug and Crime Control. To protect the integrity of the investigation further information cannot be released at this time. Anyone with information related to this case is encouraged to call the Troop H Headquarters at 816-387-2345.

The charges for which the above individuals were arrested are mere accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
