EMPHASIS:
Six New Troopers Assigned To Troop A
Captain Steven V. Wilhoit, commanding officer Troop A, Lee’s Summit, is pleased to announce the assignment of six new troopers within the Troop A area. The new troopers were members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 111th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on July 23, 2021. The new troopers will report for duty, in their respective assignments, on August 9, 2021.
Trooper Ryan K. Stearns, a native of Marshall, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Clay County. Trooper Stearns graduated from Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, Vermont. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. Trooper Stearns currently serves in the Missouri Army National Guard.
Trooper Aaron K. Booker, a native of Blue Springs, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 7, which serves the citizens of Jackson County. Trooper Booker graduated from Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Trooper Booker is married to Kaitlin (Hughes) and they have one child.
Trooper Derek R. Peters, a native of Jackson, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 10, which serves the citizens of Saline County. Trooper Peters graduated from Jackson Senior High School in Jackson, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Peters attended State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri. Trooper Peters is married to Mickayla (Andresen) and they have two children.
Trooper Devan J. Harms, a native of California, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Trooper Harms graduated from California High School in California, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Trooper Harms served in the United States Air Force. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia. Trooper Harms is married to Heather (Frahm) and they have one child.
Trooper Nathaniel J. Medrano, a native of Marshall, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 12, which serves the citizens of Johnson County. Trooper Medrano graduated from Marshall High School in Marshall, Missouri. He holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. Trooper Medrano is married to Cindy (Aguilar).
Trooper Colten B. Henderson, a native of Branson, Missouri, has been assigned to Zone 14, which serves the citizens of Bates County. Trooper Henderson graduated from Branson High School in Branson, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, he served in the United States Army. Trooper Henderson is married to Haley (Hahn) and they have two children.
