EMPHASIS: Armed Robbery Of Maries County Bank Of Vichy


At approximately 3:00 p.m., July 30, 2008, the Maries County Sheriff’s Department was advised of an armed robbery of the “Maries County Bank of Vichy”. Responding to the scene were members of the Maries, Phelps and Osage County Sheriff’s Departments, Vienna Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The robbery suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’, weighing about 200 lbs, with short brown hair and a dark mustache. At the time of the theft he was wearing a round-brimmed, camouflaged hat, and a purple “Carhart” T-shirt with a pocket. The suspect, who fled on foot, was reportedly armed with a pistol having wood grips.
The Maries County Sheriff’s Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control are conducting the investigation of the robbery.
