EMPHASIS: Troop E Promotions Announced

Captain Jason J. Cluver, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the following promotions effective June 1, 2026.

Corporal Joshua B. Doyle has been promoted to sergeant and remains in his current assignment as a commercial vehicle enforcement trooper. He was appointed to the Patrol on January 16, 2013, as a member of the 96th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Zone 10, serving the citizens of Dunklin County. On April 1, 2020, he was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant supervisor of Zone 9, New Madrid and Pemiscot counties.

Sergeant Doyle graduated from Montgomery County High School in Kilmichael, MS, and received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Sgt. Doyle is married and has one child.

Corporal Christopher E. Leach has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated the zone supervisor of Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Wayne County. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Troop E, Zone 2. On August 1, 2023, Leach was promoted to corporal and designated the assistant supervisor of Zone 2.

Sergeant Leach graduated from Cameron High School and holds a bachelor’s degree in conservation enforcement from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, MO. Sgt. Leach is married and has one child.

Trooper Austin J. Leroux has been promoted to the rank of corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 2. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 3. On December 20, 2022, he transferred to the Gaming Division and worked at the River City Casino in St. Louis. On January 14, 2025, he transferred to Troop E, Zone 11, and on March 1, 2026, he transferred to Zone 1.

Corporal Leroux graduated from Doniphan High School and Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. Cpl. Leroux is married.
