EMPHASIS: New Trooper Assigned to Troop H
Captain Shawn P. Skoglund, commanding officer Troop H, St. Joseph, is pleased to announce the assignment of a new trooper to Troop H. The new trooper was a member of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 122nd Recruit Class and graduated from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy on December 20, 2024. The new trooper will report for duty on January 6, 2025.
Trooper Joshua D. Bedingfield, of Magnolia, TX, has been assigned to Zone 4, which serves the citizens of Grundy, Livingston, and Mercer counties. Trooper Bedingfield was home schooled and graduated in 2018. Prior to his employment with the Patrol, Trooper Bedingfield was employed by the Missouri Department of Corrections as a corrections sergeant. Trooper Bedingfield’s field training officer will be Corporal Joshua E. Hainey.
