EMPHASIS: Corporal Greg M. Prussman Promoted To Sergeant
Captain Larry W. Plunkett Jr., director of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Gaming Division, announces the following promotion effective February 1, 2019:
Corporal Greg M. Prussman, Gaming Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO, was promoted to sergeant and will remain in his present assignment at St. Joseph Frontier Casino, St. Joseph, MO.
Prussman was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1996, as a member of the 72nd Recruit Class. Upon completing his training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 3, Harrison and Gentry counties. He was promoted to corporal in October 2003, and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 1, Atchison and Holt counties. He transferred to the Gaming Division, General Headquarters, in May 2005, as a background investigator. In August 2006, Prussman left the Patrol to work for the U.S. Department of Justice and trained Iraqi police officers in Iraq. He was reinstated as a trooper in February 2008, and assigned to Troop A, Zone 3, Clay County. In October 2008, he transferred to the Gaming Division, where he was assigned to the Argosy Casino in Riverside, MO. Prussman was promoted to corporal and named assistant officer-in-charge at Harrah’s Casino in North Kansas City, MO, in September 2010. He transferred to St. Joseph Frontier Casino in St. Joseph, in January 2019.
Prussman grew up in St. Joseph, MO, and graduated from Central High School in 1992. He earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO, in 2001. Sgt. Prussman and his wife have two grown children.
