Three Johnson County, Missouri, Men Arrested For Promotion Of Child Pornography
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the results of three separate child pornography distribution investigations. The investigations resulted in the arrest of three unassociated men of Johnson County, Missouri, for promotion of child pornography. Members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit conducted the investigations. The Patrol was assisted by the Knob Noster and Warrensburg police departments.
On Tuesday, January 24, 2023, investigators arrested Denning Fields, 60, Aspen Way, Warrensburg, Missouri; Hunter Harrell, 20, Deerbrook Circle, Knob Noster, Missouri; and Owen Anderson, 59, East North Street, Warrensburg, Missouri, for promotion of child pornography. Investigators executed search warrants and located child pornography at each of the men’s residences. Fields was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and later released pending the application of charges. Harrell and Anderson were transported to the Johnson County Jail.
The Johnson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Harrell and Anderson as follows:
Hunter Harrell

one count of promotion of child pornography, three counts of possession of child pornography
Owen Anderson
¯
one count of promotion of child pornography, one count of possession of child pornography.
No bond has been set for either Harrell or Anderson.
The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages internet users to promptly report to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children. The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit is partially funded by the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The above charges are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
