EMPHASIS: Patrol's Division Of Drug & Crime Control Announces March 1, 2018 Promotion


Captain Paul D. Kerperin, director of the Division of Drug & Crime Control, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO, announces the following promotion effective March 1, 2018:

Trooper J. David Patton, Q/DDCC, is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will remain assigned to the Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Patton was appointed to the Patrol on January 8, 2006, as a member of the 85th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop E, Zone 8, New Madrid and Pemiscot counties. In August 2010, he transferred to the Division of Drug and Crime Control as a criminal investigator.

Corporal Patton was born in Hayti, MO. He graduated from Portageville High School in Portageville, MO. In 1996, he earned an associate of arts degree from Crowley’s Ridge College in Paragould, AR. Prior to joining the Patrol, Patton served as a police officer with both the Jonesboro (AR) Police Department and Hayti Police Department. He and his wife, Ashlie (Case), have two children.
