Troop C Announces Promotions
Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the following Troop C promotions effective June 1, 2025:
Trooper Nathan Cockrum is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will be assigned as the assistant supervisor of Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County.
Corporal Cockrum was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 16, 2013, as a member of the 96th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 5, serving the citizens of Pike and Lincoln counties.
Trooper Clay Knox is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will be assigned as the assistant supervisor of Zone 1, serving the citizens of North St. Louis County.
Knox was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on July 1, 2019, as a member of the 108th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 8, serving the citizens of St. Charles County. Corporal Knox is a native of Foristell, MO, and graduated from Timberland High School in 2014.
