Effective August 1, 2025, Sergeant Bryan H. Salmons will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant and designated assistant director of the Research and Development Division.
Salmons was appointed to the Patrol on June 29, 2003, as a member of the 81st Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 1, Cole and Callaway counties. In August 2019, Salmons was promoted to corporal and designated assistant commander of Zone 2, Cole and Callaway counties. In October 2022, he was promoted to sergeant and designated commander of Zone 1, Cole and Callaway counties.
Lieutenant Salmons grew up in Auxvasse, MO, and graduated from North Callaway High School in Kingdom City, MO, in 1992. While in the Patrol Academy, he earned an Associate of Science degree from Mineral Area Community College, in Park Hills, MO, in 2003. Lieutenant Salmons is a 2024 graduate of the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety’s School of Police Staff and Command. Lieutenant Salmons is married and has six children and one grandchild.
