EMPHASIS: Trooper Sapp To Retire
Captain Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the following retirement:
Trooper Amanda F. Sapp will retire May 1, 2026, after 28 years of dedicated service.
Sapp was appointed to the Patrol on February 1, 1998, as a member of the 75th Recruit Class. Upon completing her training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, she was assigned to Troop B, Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. On September 1, 2003, she transferred from Zone 2 to Zone 10, Randolph and Monroe counties. On September 1, 2008, she transferred from Zone 10 to the Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC). On May 18, 2014, she transferred from DDCC to Troop B, Zone 1, Macon and Shelby counties.
Trooper Sapp grew up in Macon, MO, and graduated from Macon High School in 1992. She attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with Bachelor of Science of Sociology.
