EMPHASIS: Troopers Dustin Berry And Matthew Lewis Assigned To Troop B


Captain John W. Elliott, commanding officer of Troop B, Macon, announces the transfers of two troopers to Troop B effective April 1, 2009.
Trooper Dustin J. Berry transferred from Troop A, Carrollton, Missouri, to Troop B, and has been assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Macon and Shelby counties. He will reside in Leonard, Missouri. Trooper Berry is a native of Shelbyville, Missouri, and graduated from North Shelby High School. He attended Moberly Area Community College where he obtained a law enforcement certificate and served as a deputy for the Shelby County Sheriff Department prior to his employment with the Patrol. Trooper Berry was appointed to the Patrol on January 8, 2006, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop A, Zone 5, which serves the citizens of Carroll and Ray counties. He is married to Lanise (Bichsel) Berry, a native of Leonard, Missouri.
Trooper Matthew J. Lewis transferred from Troop H, Hamilton, Missouri, to Troop B, and has been assigned Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Chariton and Linn counties. He will reside in Brookfield, Missouri. Trooper Lewis is a native of Brookfield, Missouri, and graduated from Brookfield High School. He attended Moberly Area Community College in Moberly, Missouri, Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City, Missouri, and earned an associate’s degree from Mineral Area Community College in Park Hills, Missouri. Trooper Lewis was appointed to the Patrol on January 8, 2006, and after graduating from the Patrol Academy was assigned to Troop H, Zone 7, which serves Clinton and Caldwell counties. He is married to Amy (Smith) Lewis, a native of Brookfield, Missouri. They have three children: Joshua, 16; Ashton, 10; and Austin, 2.
