EMPHASIS: Patrol's Training Division Announces June 1, 2018 Promotion
Captain Jerry C. West, director of the Training Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO, announces the following promotion effective June 1, 2018:
Corporal Aaron K. Griffin, Q/TND, is being promoted to the rank of sergeant and will remain an instructor assigned to the Training Division.
Griffin was appointed to the Patrol on October 17, 2004, as a member of the 83rd Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 10, Daviess and Dekalb counties. While assigned to Troop H, Griffin was a member of the Troop H Honor Guard (2007-2015) and Troop H Marijuana Eradication team (2007-2009). He also served as a member of the Troop A Special Weapons & Tactics team (2008-2015). Griffin transferred to the Training Division, General Headquarters, as an instructor in May 2015. He was promoted to corporal June 2017.
Sergeant Griffin was born in Fairfax, MO. He graduated from Rock Port R-II High School in Rock Port, MO, in 1998. He then attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural economics. Sgt. Griffin and his wife, Whitney (Vernieuw), have three children.
