EMPHASIS:
Results Of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Operation In Troop I
Captain Eddie Blaylock, commanding officer of Troop I, announces that on August 19, 2019, commercial vehicle enforcement troopers conducted a commercial vehicle saturation on Interstate 44 in Phelps and Pulaski counties. During this eight-hour operation, 24 commercial motor vehicles were stopped and inspected.
The 24 commercial vehicle inspections resulted in the discovery of 50 violations. There were five citations issued, four vehicles placed out-of-service, and three drivers placed out-of-service.
Troopers also responded to seven calls for service and worked one motor vehicle crash durin
g the saturation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
