EMPHASIS: Troop D Commander, Capt. Randall S. Beydler, Retires After 34 Years of Service.
It is with tremendous gratitude for the many years of service the Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the retirement of 34-year veteran, Captain Randall S. “Randy” Beydler. Capt. Beydler leaves the Patrol a better organization as a result of his many years of dedicated service.
Beydler was born in El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and attended El Dorado Springs High School. A graduate of Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri, he earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration. Beydler was appointed to the Patrol in September 1974, and was assigned to Troop A, Platte/Clay counties in February 1975. He transferred to Henry/Benton counties in 1980, and in 1984, was promoted to corporal in Johnson County. In 1989, Beydler was promoted to sergeant in Jackson County, and in February 1993, he transferred to Bates County as sergeant. In December 1993, Beydler was promoted to lieutenant, Troop H, St. Joseph. In 2006, he was promoted to captain of Troop D, a position he held until his retirement.
Captain Beydler has served the Patrol with dignity and distinction for 34 years. He is married to Debbie (Gill), and together they have two grown children, Nicholas and Kristi.
