Troop H Promotions Announced
Captain Clark N. Stratton, commanding officer of Troop H, St. Joseph, is pleased to announce the following promotions effective December 1, 2021.
Corporal Kurt A. Schmutzler has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and remains in his current assignment as supervisor of Troop H marine enforcement. Schmutzler was appointed to the Patrol in October 2004, as a member of the 83rd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 14, Bates County. In January 2014, he transferred to Troop H, Zone 5, Andrew and Buchanan counties. In February 2014, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and remained in Zone 5, Andrew and Buchanan counties. In March 2016, he transferred to Troop H marine enforcement where he currently serves. Sergeant Schmutzler is married and has four children.
Corporal Robert P. “Bobby” Dudeck has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and remains in his current assignment as supervisor of Zone 5, Andrew and Buchanan counties. Dudeck was appointed to the Patrol in July 2008, as a member of the 87th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 2, Nodaway and Worth counties. In May 2015, he was promoted to the rank of corporal and transferred to Zone 5, Andrew and Buchanan counties where he currently serves. Sergeant Dudeck is married and has four children.
Corporal Benjamin R. Hilliard has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and remains in his current assignment as supervisor of Zone 3, Harrison and Gentry counties. Hilliard was appointed to the Patrol in July 2007, as a member of the 86th Recruit Class. After graduating the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop H, Zone 3, Harrison and Gentry counties. In October 2014, he was promoted to corporal in Troop H, Zone 3, where he currently serves. Sergeant Hilliard is married.
