EMPHASIS: Cpl. Jonathan A. Cluver Promoted

Captain David K. Striegel, director of the Aircraft Division, General Headquarters, Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the following promotion effective April 1, 2023.

Corporal Jonathan A. Cluver, Aircraft Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO, was promoted to sergeant and will remain in his position as a pilot in the Aircraft Division. Cpl. Cluver is certified as pilot in command of the Bell-407 helicopter and holds his commercial rotorcraft certificate.

Cluver was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 2006, as a member of the 85th Recruit Class. After completing his training at the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop I, Zone 2, Phelps and Maries counties. He transferred to Troop F, Zone 3, Boone County, on November 1, 2008. Cluver was promoted to corporal on April 1, 2014, and designated assistant zone supervisor of Troop F, Zone 15, Callaway County. He transferred to the Aircraft Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, on September 1, 2019.

Sergeant Cluver grew up in Latham, IL, and graduated from Warrensburg-Latham High School in Warrensburg, IL. He earned a Bachelor of Science in architectural studies from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He graduated from Police Leadership The West Point Model training in 2018. Sergeant Cluver and his wife, Julie (Cottom), have two sons.
