Troop D Announces Results Of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) Enforcement Operation
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program’s SAFETE hazardous moving operation in Greene County on June 9, 2016. SAFETE is an enforcement program focusing on violations of commercial motor vehicles. During the operation, troopers stopped a total of 23 commercial vehicles and 10 non-commercial vehicles. Additionally, 21 commercial motor vehicle inspections were conducted, which resulted in three commercial vehicles being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation.
Total Commercial Vehicle Arrests -- 6
Seat Belt Violations -- 3
Speed Offense -- 1
Non-Moving Violations -- 2
Troopers also issued 46 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
