Troop D Announces Results Of DWI Enforcement Saturation
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of a DWI enforcement saturation in Jasper County on Saturday, August 25, 2018. The enforcement area was selected based on a high number of drinking- and impairment-related crashes, in addition to other traffic violations that contribute to unsafe driving behavior.
During the operation in Jasper County, troopers stopped 37 vehicles. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation.
Misdemeanor DWI Arrests -- 2
Speed Violations -- 3
Seat Belt Violations -- 4
Non-Moving Violations -- 3
Driver License Violations -- 2
Insurance Violations -- 6
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 2
Troopers also issued 50 warnings for various other traffic violations during the operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
“Don’t Violate The Trust.”
