The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) announces the arrest of Collin K. Goodsell, 28, of Peculiar, MO. Goodsell was arrested on February 12, 2026, in connection with a sexual assault investigation conducted by the Troop A Criminal Investigative Unit of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

In December of 2025, DDCC was requested to investigate allegations of sexual assault involving a Belton Police Department employee. On February 12, 2026, following the investigation, DDCC investigators obtained probable cause to arrest Goodsell for raping an adult female. DDCC investigators arrested Goodsell in Lees Summit, MO, where he was later transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on an investigative hold. Investigators forwarded a probable cause statement to the Pettis County Prosecutor for consideration of a formal charges.

On February 13, 2026, the Pettis County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Goodsell with Rape-First Degree. Goodsell is being held in the Pettis County Jail, without bond.
