EMPHASIS: Colonel Ron Replogle Announces Transfer, Promotions Effective March 1, 2015

Colonel Ron Replogle, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the following transfer effective March 1, 2015:

Major Malik A. Henderson will become commander of the Support Services Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. As commander of the Support Services Bureau, Major Henderson will have oversight responsibility for the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, Driver Examination Division, Fleet & Facilities Division, Motor Vehicle Inspection Division, and Public Information & Education Division.

Henderson was appointed to the Patrol on July 3, 1988, as a member of the 60th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City, Henderson was assigned to Troop E, Zone 10, Dunklin County. On May 1, 1990, he transferred to Troop C, St. Louis. He was promoted to corporal on September 1, 1995, and assigned to Zone 1, St. Louis County. Henderson was promoted to sergeant on October 1, 1999, and designated zone supervisor of Zone 2, St. Louis County. On January 7, 2007, he was promoted to lieutenant and supervised District 2 operations for Troop C, Weldon Spring. Henderson was promoted to captain on March 1, 2010, and designated director of the Motor Vehicle Inspection Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. He transferred to the Professional Standards Division on July 1, 2013, where he served as the director. Henderson was promoted to the rank of major and assigned commander of the Administrative Services Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, on December 1, 2014. In addition to commanding the Support Services Bureau, he will serve as a member of the Patrol’s command staff.

Henderson was born in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from O’Fallon Tech High School in St. Louis, in 1981. He attended Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS. Henderson graduated from the 235th Session of the FBI National Academy Program at Quantico, VA, in 2008. He graduated from the Leadership Missouri program sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2014. Major Henderson and his wife, Renee D. (Parson), have two sons: Rasheed and Mehki.

Colonel Ron Replogle announces the following promotions effective March 1, 2015:

Captain Gregory D. Kindle will be promoted to the rank of major and assigned commander of the Administrative Services Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. As commander of the Administrative Services Bureau, Major Kindle will have oversight responsibility for the Human Resources Division, Research and Development Division, and the Training Division.

Kindle was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1980, as a member of the 53rd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to Troop B, Zone 2, Putnam and Sullivan counties. On June 1, 1987, he was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone commander of Zone 2, Macon and Shelby counties. On June 1, 1990, he was promoted to sergeant and named zone commander of Troop B, Zone 2. Kindle was promoted to lieutenant on September 1, 1994, and transferred to Troop H, St. Joseph. In 1999, he was assigned to the Field Operations Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. Kindle was promoted to captain on July 1, 2001, and remained in the Field Operations Bureau. On June 1, 2010, Kindle transferred to and was designated commanding officer of Troop F, Jefferson City. In addition to commanding the Administrative Services Bureau, he will serve as a member of the Patrol’s command staff.

Kindle was born in Macon, MO. He graduated from Bevier Public School in Bevier, MO, in May 1976. In 2003, he attended the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA. In 2010, Kindle graduated from the Leadership Missouri program. Kindle also served for 21 years in the Missouri National Guard, having deployed to Panama, Honduras, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Kosovo. His final assignment with the National Guard was in the Inspector General's Office as an assistant inspector general; he retired as a sergeant first class in 2011. Major Kindle is married to Lisa (Newkirk). He has two sons, Andrew Kindle and Christopher Kindle. He also has three stepchildren: Ross Arnett, Alicia Lehman, and Chelsea Arnett.

Captain Gregory K. Smith will be promoted to the rank of major and designated commander of the Technical Services Bureau. As commander of the Technical Services Bureau, he has oversight responsibility for the Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Information & Communications Technology Division, and Patrol Records Division.

Smith was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 1989, as a member of the 61st Recruit Class. After graduating from the Academy, he was assigned to Troop A, Zone 11, Benton County. He was promoted to corporal and assigned to Zone 6, Jackson County on October 1, 1994. On July 1, 1997, Smith was promoted to sergeant and designated zone supervisor of Zone 13, Pettis County. He was promoted to lieutenant in August 1, 2001, and assigned to the Field Operations Bureau, General Headquarters, Jefferson City. He was promoted to captain on June 1, 2010, and designated assistant commander in the Field Operations Bureau. In addition to commanding the Technical Services Bureau, he will serve as a member of the Patrol’s command staff.

Smith was born in Columbia, MO. He graduated from Fayette High School in Fayette, MO, in 1985. Prior to joining the Patrol, he was a student at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, now known as the University of Central Missouri. Major Smith and his wife, Stephanie (Raines), have two daughters, Rachael and Grace.
