Captain Justin McCullough Announces Promotion
Captain Justin McCullough, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, is pleased to announce the following promotion effective April 1, 2021.
Corporal Michael D. Adams was promoted to the rank of sergeant and designated as the zone supervisor of Zone 9, serving Cedar and St. Clair counties. Adams was appointed to the Patrol on January 1, 1999, as a member of the 76th Recruit Class. After graduating the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop D, Zone 16, serving Dallas and Hickory counties. Adams was promoted to corporal on August 1, 2015, and was designated as an assistant zone supervisor of Zone 12, Christian County. In May 2020, Adams transferred to Zone 20, where he served as a marine enforcement trooper.
Sergeant Adams was born in Willard, Missouri. He graduated from Willard High School in 1983. Adams earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri, in 1997. Sergeant Adams is married to Dawn Adams and together have two children and two grandchildren.
