EMPHASIS: Oregon County Drug Investigation Results In Multiple Arrests

At approximately 6 a.m. September 29, 2023, members of the South Central Drug Task Force, in coordination with the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Oregon County Sheriff’s Department, Thayer (MO) Police Department, and the Alton (MO) Police Department concluded a long-term narcotics investigation in Oregon County.

Over the course of several months, officers with the South Central Drug Task Force conducted a series of narcotics investigations involving the distribution, sales, and possession of methamphetamine and prescription medications. The investigation targeted individuals affiliated with and around the Oregon County area. Arrest warrants for each defendant were obtained through the Oregon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office before initiating the operation. The South Central Drug Task Force is a multi-jurisdictional task force coordinated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and specializing in narcotics-related investigations.

Arrest teams consisted of members from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Oregon County Sheriff’s Department, and Thayer Police Department. Individuals arrested in connection with this investigation were transported, processed, and held for bond at the Thayer Police Department. The following individuals were arrested due to warrants issued for the listed offenses:

Ricky W. Brewer, 46, of West Plains, Missouri, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Joe W. Glaser, 61, of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

Kimberly A. Cross, 42, of West Plains, Missouri, was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of delivery of a controlled substance.

The charges against these individuals are mere accusation and do not constitute evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
