EMPHASIS: Patrol Schedules Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) High-Crash Corridor Saturation

Captain Kevin C. Kelley, director of the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division, announces a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program high-crash corridor saturation is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on November 1, 2021. The high-crash corridor saturation will take place on Interstate 70 in Boone, Callaway, Cooper, Jackson, Lafayette, Montgomery, Saline, St. Charles, St. Louis, and Warren counties, and on Interstate 64 in St. Charles and St. Louis counties. Troopers, commercial vehicle enforcement troopers, and commercial vehicle officers will conduct inspections and take enforcement actions on commercial motor vehicle drivers who follow too close, speed, improperly change lanes, drive while fatigued or intoxicated, and those vehicles with critical vehicle inspection violations. Officers will also maintain the Patrol's zero tolerance for seat belt violations. The purpose of this MCSAP high-crash corridor saturation is to reduce the number of commercial vehicle-related crashes, fatalities, and injuries through aggressive enforcement, safety inspections, education, and high visibility.

Too many people die in traffic crashes each year in Missouri. The choices you make when you’re behind the wheel matter. Make good choices, so you’ll never have to say, “If I could just go back …”
