EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion Of Trooper Shane M. Kaden

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is pleased to announce the promotion of Trooper Shane M. Kaden to the rank of corporal effective September 2, 2007. Corporal Kaden will be designated as the assistant zone commander of Zone 3, which serves South St. Louis County.
Cpl. Kaden was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Francis Howell High School in 1987. He has earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College. He was appointed to the Patrol in July 1995. After completing the Patrol’s Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, St. Louis and worked in Zone 4, serving St. Louis County until 2004. Cpl. Kaden then transferred to the Gaming Division of the Highway Patrol, and served as a gaming agent on Harrah’s and the President casinos from 2004 to 2006. In April 2006, he transferred to Zone 9, serving St. Charles County, where he has remained until his recent promotion.
Cpl. Kaden currently resides in Wentzville, and is the father of three sons, Nathaniel (11), Alexander (9), and Joshua (6).
