EMPHASIS: Three Suspects Charged After Execution Of Search Warrant In Cape Girardeau County

At approximately 6:30 a.m. on February 22, 2017, members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms executed a state search warrant at 428 Wellington in unincorporated Cape Girardeau County.

As a result of the search warrant and a subsequent investigation, three suspects have been arrested and charged. Jessica L. Pierce-Pender, 35, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has been charged with the class D felony of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Her bond was set at $5,000. Gregory S. King, 38, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, has been charged with the class C felony of unlawful possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $20,000. David M. Knight, 24, of Jackson, Missouri, has been charged with the class D felony of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), the class C felony of unlawful possession of a firearm, and the class E felony of unlawful use of a weapon. His bond was set at $20,000. All three suspects are being held in the Cape Girardeau County Jail.

The charges for which the above individuals were arrested are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.

The only 100 percent survivable crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober. “Don’t Violate The Trust.”
