EMPHASIS: Troop D Announces Promotions

Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announces the following promotions effective February 1, 2017.

Corporal Robert W. “Bill” Schafer has been promoted to sergeant and designated as the zone supervisor of Zone 16, Dallas and Hickory counties. Schafer was appointed to the Patrol on March 15, 2000, and after graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy was assigned to Troop F, Zone 5, Camden and Miller counties. In 2004, Schafer transferred to Troop D, Zone 10, Webster County, were he served until his promotion in 2012, where he was designated as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 1, Greene County. Schafer graduated from Houston High School, Houston, Missouri, and later attended Central Texas College. Schafer also served as a police officer with the Seymour Police Department prior to his appointment to the Patrol. Sergeant Schafer is married to Jenni and they have one child.

Trooper Chase Stallcup has been promoted to corporal and designated as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 10, Webster County. Stallcup was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2008, and after graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy was assigned to Troop I, Pulaski County. On December 1, 2011, Stallcup transferred to Troop I, Laclede County, and on January 1, 2013, he transferred to Troop D, Zone 10, Webster County. Stallcup graduated from Sparta High School, Sparta, Missouri, and later attended Drury University, Springfield, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. Stallcup is married to Jordan and they have two children.
