EMPHASIS: Troop D Announces Promotion

Captain Justin L. McCullough, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, Missouri, announces the following promotion effective November 1, 2020.


Trooper James M. Linegar was promoted to the rank of corporal and designated as the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 4, serving Taney and Stone counties. Linegar was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 8, 2006, as a member of the 85th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 11, Franklin County. In October 2009, he transferred to Troop D, Zone 15, serving Taney and Stone counties. Corporal Linegar graduated from Reeds Spring High School in Reeds Spring, Missouri, in 2000. He graduated from Missouri State University with a degree in crime and society in May 2004. He is married to Erica and they have two sons, Ethan and Elliott.
