EMPHASIS: CJIS Division Announces Promotion
Captain Christopher S. Jolly, director of the Criminal Justice Information Services Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, announces the following promotion:
CJIS Trainer/Auditor Valerie L. Hampton, Q/CJISD, has been promoted to CJIS program manager. The promotion was effective August 16, 2017. She will remain assigned to the Criminal Justice Information Services Division.
Hampton joined the Patrol on February 17, 2008, as an AFIS technician. She was promoted to CJIS auditor/trainer on March 1, 2011. Hampton was a member of the team responsible for implementing the Missouri Automated Criminal History System. That team accepted Governor’s Award for Quality and Productivity Award in 2015.
CJIS Program Mgr. Hampton was born in Girard, KS. She grew up in Cherokee, KS, and graduated from Southeast High School in Cherokee in 1985. She earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University in Los Angeles, CA, in 1991. She resides in Jefferson City and has two grown sons.
