EMPHASIS: Sergeant Jack McMullin, 28-Year-Veteran, Retires.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol honors Sergeant Jack McMullin and his 28 years of dedicated service with the announcement of his retirement. Sgt. McMullin has proudly served the Patrol throughout his career and left the organization better because of his service.

Sgt. McMullin was born in Arkansas, and graduated from Willard High School in 1967. After graduating from high school, Jack attended Drury University in Springfield, MO, and graduated with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. Prior to Joining the Patrol, Jack worked at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department as a detective. In 1980, after graduating the Patrol academy, he was first assigned to Zone 14, Barry/Lawrence County, Troop D. In 1996, Jack was promoted to corporal, and assigned to Zone 1, Greene County, and, in 2000, he was promoted to sergeant over criminal interdiction, a position he held until his retirement.

Sgt. McMullin and his wife, Linda, have two grown children: Shannon and Josh. Jack will always be remembered not only for his service to the Patrol, but his unending work ethic in the field of criminal interdiction.
