EMPHASIS: Arrest Made In Shooting Incident On MO 364, In St. Charles County
At approximately 5:50 p.m. on Friday, May 26, 2023, the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated a shooting that occurred on westbound Missouri 364, near Arena Parkway, in St. Charles County, Missouri. The only information obtained at the time of the incident was the suspect vehicle was possibly a black Audi with a white male driver. The suspect fired at least two shots at the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. The victim was struck by one round and suffered a non-life-threatening injury. The suspect vehicle fled the scene.

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, after a thorough investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney formally charged Dustin C. Duke, 39, of O’Fallon, Missouri, with three counts of Assault 1st Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Armed Criminal Action, and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Duke is being held at the St. Charles County Jail with a bond set at $1,000,000 cash only.

The above charges are mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
