EMPHASIS: Missouri State Highway Patrol Launches Online Traffic Safety Compendium

Colonel J. Bret Johnson, superintendent of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, announces the development of the online Missouri Traffic Safety Compendium. The Missouri Traffic Safety Compendium is a comprehensive resource for information pertaining to Missouri traffic crashes derived from the Statewide Traffic Accident Records System (STARS) managed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The traffic statistics contained in the compendium are arranged by subject (i.e. Alcohol/Drug, Commercial Motor Vehicle, Seat Belt, etc.) and for the years 2002-2013. Each year’s statistics will be added as they become available.

The public is encouraged to explore the user-friendly, online Missouri Traffic Safety Compendium by visiting the Patrol’s website at www.mshp.dps.mo.gov. Select Statistics/Media, Statistical Analysis Center, Traffic Safety Compendium (lower left side of web page). This online compendium places statistics at your fingertips.
