EMPHASIS: Clinton County Sheriff Found Dead





On February 21, 2004, at 1509 hours, an officer from the Cameron Police Department found the Clinton County Sheriff Daniel W. Jones, age 51 dead. Sheriff Jones was found parked in his patrol vehicle at the Cameron Reservoir on Pump House Road. The Reservoir is located in Dekalb County inside the city limits of Cameron, MO.



At the request of the Cameron Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control is conducting the investigation. No cause of death is known at this time.
