The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) announces the arrest of Marble Hill Police Officer Jason K. Holt, 41, of Jackson, MO. Holt was arrested on May 14, 2025, for Burglary and Stealing after an investigation by the Troop E Criminal Investigations Unit. Holt was also a former employee at the Southeast Missouri Department of Public Safety.
On May 9, 2025, Richard Flotron, the Director of the Southeast Missouri Department of Public Safety, requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigate two separate burglary incidents which occurred on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University on April 10th and May 8th, 2025. The theft totaled approximately $18,500 worth of stolen equipment.
During the investigation, DDCC criminal investigators gathered evidence and conducted several interviews. Holt was arrested on May 14, 2025, and he was transported to the Cape Girardeau County Jail. On May 15, 2025, the Cape Girardeau Prosecuting Attorney charged Holt with two counts of 2nd-Degree Burglary and one count of Stealing ($750.00 or more) and has a bond of $10,000.00.
The above charges are a mere accusation and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
