Troop C Announces Promotion
Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, announces the following Troop C promotion effective December 1, 2023.
Trooper Stephen G. Hassell is being promoted to the rank of corporal and will be assigned as the assistant zone commander in Zone 3, serving the citizens of South St. Louis County. Hassell was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol on January 8, 2018, as a member of the 105th Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 16, which serves the citizens of Ste. Genevieve and Perry County. In February 2020, Hassell transferred to Zone 13, where he served the citizens of Jefferson County.
Corporal Hassell is a 2013 graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Missouri.
