EMPHASIS: Suspect in Cole Camp Homicide Arrested

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Caleb G. Self, 22, of Cole Camp, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, for murder first degree, armed criminal action, and tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution.

On May 28, 2020, the Benton County Sheriff’s Office requested the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control to investigate a homicide in rural Benton County. The victim was identified as Matthew L. Reyburn, 22, of Cole Camp, Missouri. The subsequent investigation resulted in officers obtaining an arrest warrant for Caleb G. Self of Cole Camp, Missouri. The Benton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Self with murder first degree, armed criminal action and tampering with physical evidence in felony prosecution. Self is being currently being held in the Pettis County Jail without bond.
