Sergeant Jason Decker Promoted To Lieutenant
Captain Kevin W. Malugen, commanding officer of Troop C, Weldon Spring, Missouri, announces the following promotion effective October 1, 2023:
Sergeant Jason L. Decker was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred from Troop C, Zone 8, St, Charles County, to Troop C Headquarters, Weldon Spring, where he will serve as a member of the Troop C command staff.
Decker was appointed to the Patrol on July 18, 2004, as a member of the 82nd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop C, Zone 2, serving North St. Louis County. On September 1, 2009, he was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor in Zone 2. On February 1, 2014, Decker was promoted to sergeant and designated zone supervisor in Zone 1, serving North St. Louis County. On September 1, 2015, he transferred to Troop C, Zone 8, serving St. Charles County, as the zone superviosor.
Lieutenant Decker was born in Kennett, Missouri. He graduated from Kennett High School in 1999. After graduation, he attended William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. In 2021, Lieutenant Decker completed Police Leadership - West Point Model training at the Missouri State Highway Patrol Training Academy.
