EMPHASIS: Ms. Stacey A. Bolinger Named Assistant Director Of Patrol Crime Laboratory Division

Mr. Brian Hoey, director of the Crime Laboratory Division, announces the following promotion effective February 18, 2018:

Ms. Stacey A. Bolinger has been named assistant director of the Patrol’s Crime Laboratory Division. In this position, she has oversight responsibilities for the laboratory’s budget and legislation. Bolinger joined the Patrol on November 1, 1998, as a data entry operator in the Criminal Justice Information Services Division. She transferred to the Crime Laboratory Division as a laboratory technician on January 1, 1999. She transferred to the DNA Section as a criminalist on September 15, 2000. On October 10, 2010, she was promoted to criminalist supervisor over the DNA Section. Bolinger became a laboratory manager overseeing the Fingerprint, Firearms, DNA Casework, CODIS, and Trace Evidence sections on May 22, 2016.


Assistant Director Bolinger was born in Jefferson City, MO. She grew up in California, MO, and graduated from California High School in 1994. She earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Central Missouri, in Warrensburg, MO, in 1998. Bolinger is a member of the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors and the Midwestern Association of Forensic Scientists. Assistant Director Bolinger and her husband, Aaron, have three children.
