EMPHASIS: Sergeant Kenneth M. Robinson Promoted To Lieutenant


Captain Rex M. Scism, director of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Research & Development Division, announces the following promotion effective April 1, 2018:

Sergeant Kenneth M. Robinson is being promoted to lieutenant and assigned to the Research & Development Division, General Headquarters, Jefferson City, MO.

Robinson joined the Patrol on July 1, 1995, as a member of the 70th Recruit Class. Upon graduating from the Patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 8, Callaway County. He was promoted to corporal on August 1, 2000, and designated assistant zone supervisor of that same zone. On January 1, 2001, he transferred to the Training Division, General Headquarters. Robinson was promoted to sergeant on January 12, 2003, and remained in that division.

Lieutenant Robinson grew up in Warrenton, MO. He graduated from Daniel Boone R-III High School in Warrenton, MO, in 1988. Robinson was active duty from 1992-1995 in the U.S. Army. He remained in the Missouri Army National Guard until 2016, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. In 1992, he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, MO. Robinson earned his Master of Business Administration through the Touro College & University System in 2004.
