EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion - Corporal Grant H. Hendrix
Captain Randy Beydler, commanding officer of Troop D, Springfield, announced effective November 1, 2008, Trooper Grant H. Hendrix was promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 7, Newton and McDonald counties.
Corporal Hendrix was born in Rogers, Arkansas, and graduated from Southwest R-5 of Barry County, Washburn, Missouri, in 1988. He completed his associate’s of science degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area Community College, Park Hills, Missouri. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, Hendrix was employed with the Barry County Farmer’s CO-OP in Exeter, Missouri. He began his career with the Patrol in January 2001, and was assigned to Newton and McDonald counties, upon completion of his Academy training. On April 19, 2008, Hendrix was the recipient of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Valor Award. Governor Matt Blunt presented him with the State of Missouri Valor Award at a ceremony in Anderson, Missouri, on August 28, 2008.
Corporal Hendrix is married to the former Stacy Corter of Anderson, Missouri. He and Stacy are the proud parents of two children: Carley, 12, and Mason, 10.
