Captain Bruce D. Fiske, commanding officer of Troop G, Willow Springs, Missouri, announces the following Troop G promotions effective April 1, 2023.

Trooper Derek E. Rogers will be promoted to corporal and designated the assistant zone supervisor of Zone 3, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Rogers was appointed to the Patrol on January 18, 2004, as a member of the 82nd Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, he was assigned to Troop F, Zone 9, Montgomery County, where he served until transferring to Troop G on July 22, 2007. In Troop G, he was assigned to Zone 1, Wright County. He is a native of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and a graduate of Mountain Grove High School. Corporal Rogers is married and has six children.

Trooper Mayela Barron will be promoted to corporal and designated assistant zone supervisor of Zone 7, Southern Howell and Oregon counties. Barron was appointed to the Patrol on July 1, 2015, as a member of the 101st Recruit Class. After graduating from the Patrol's Law Enforcement Academy, she was assigned to Troop G, Zone 5, Douglas and Ozark counties. She later transferred to Zone 3, Northern Howell and Shannon counties on May 1, 2017. She is a native of Anderson, Missouri, and a graduate of McDonald County High School in Anderson. Prior to joining the Patrol, she was employed as a McDonald County deputy sheriff. Corporal Barron is married.
