Captain Bruce D. Fiske, commanding officer of Troop G, is pleased to announce the assignment of three new troopers following their graduation from the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s 123rd Recruit Class on June 18, 2025.
Trooper Jared Q. Hummel Trooper Hummel is assigned to Zone 6, which serves southern Howell and Oregon counties. A native of Willow Springs, MO, Trooper Hummel graduated from Willow Springs High School in 2011. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice administration from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, MO, in 2015. Prior to joining the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Trooper Hummel served as a deputy sheriff with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office in West Plains, MO.
Trooper Shaun T. Duggins Trooper Duggins is assigned to Zone 3, which serves portions of eastern Texas, northern Howell, and Shannon counties. A native of West Plains, MO, Trooper Duggins graduated from West Plains High School in 2013. Before joining the Patrol, Trooper Duggins worked as a realtor with Westgate Realty in West Plains, MO.
Trooper Grant L. Plummer Trooper Plummer is assigned to Zone 5, which serves Ozark and Douglas counties. He is originally from Piedmont, MO, and graduated from Clearwater High School in 2017. In 2019, he earned an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Three Rivers Community College. Before joining the Patrol, Trooper Plummer served in the United States Army as an infantryman from 2020 to 2024, stationed at Fort Drum, NY.
