EMPHASIS: Patrol Announces Promotion:





The Missouri State Highway Patrol is pleased to announce that effective January 8, 2006 Trooper Clay Meyer will be promoted to the rank of Corporal in Polk County.



Clay was born in Lexington, Missouri and graduated from Jefferson City High School in 1983. Meyer was a member of the U.S. Army from 1987 to 1990. He obtained an associates degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College while attending the Patrol academy in 1990. Since his appointment to the Patrol in 1990 Clay was assigned to Troop D, and has worked Polk, Hickory, Dallas and St. Clair Counties. Meyer has been assigned to Polk County exclusively since 1994.



Trooper Meyer is married to the former Renee Luebbering and they are the parents of two children Cole (11), and Cristen (9).
