EMPHASIS: Four New Troopers Assigned To Troop E

Captain Jason J. Cluver, commanding officer of Troop E, Poplar Bluff, is pleased to announce the assignment of four new troopers to Troop E. The new troopers were members of the 125th Recruit Class that graduated from the Patrol Academy on April 10, 2026. The new troopers will report to their assigned zones on April 27, 2026.

Trooper Tanner L. Boening, of Bloomfield, MO, will be assigned to Zone 11, which serves the citizens of Stoddard County. He is a graduate of Bloomfield High School and served in the United States Air Force. Prior to becoming a member of the Patrol, he worked for the Dexter Police Department. He is married and has two children. His field training officer will be Corporal James E. Williams.

Trooper Zachary K. Bridges, of Harviell, MO, will be assigned to Zone 1, which serves the citizens of Butler and Ripley counties. He is a graduate of Naylor High School in Naylor, MO, and Three Rivers College in Poplar Bluff, MO. He currently serves in the United States Army Reserve. Prior to becoming a member of the Patrol, he worked for the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. He is married and has one child. His field training officer will be Corporal Bryce A. Alcorn.

Trooper Matthew W. Cagle, of Broseley, MO, will be assigned to Zone 10, which serves the citizens of Dunklin County. He is a graduate of Twin Rivers High School in Broseley, MO. Prior to becoming a member of the Patrol, he worked for the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. He is married and has two children. His field training officer will be Trooper John M. Tomaszewski.

Trooper Kenneth R. Carpenter, of Poplar Bluff, will be assigned to Zone 3, which serves the citizens of Wayne County. He is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. Prior to becoming a member of the Patrol, he worked for the Poplar Bluff Police Department. He is married. His field training officer will be Corporal James A. Rowe.
