Troop D Announces Results Of Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) SAFETE Operation
Captain Juan Villanueva, commanding officer of Troop D, announces the results of a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) SAFETE operation in Greene County on March 6, 2017. Troopers stopped 31 commercial vehicles and six passenger vehicles. Additionally, troopers conducted 31 commercial vehicle inspections which resulted in six vehicles and three drivers being placed out-of-service. The following is a list of enforcement contacts made during the operation.
Commercial Vehicle Violations -- 2
Speed Violation -- 1
Seat Belt Violations -- 5
Non-Moving Violation -- 1
Misdemeanor Warrant Arrests -- 2
Troopers also issued 74 warnings for various other offenses during this operation.
The only 100 percent survivable traffic crash is the one that never happens. Make sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained in a seat belt or child restraint. Every day as we travel on Missouri’s roadways, we trust that every driver on the road is going to obey the speed limit, pay attention, and drive sober.
